As your ship enters a new, previously before un-charted sector of space, you notice several thousands of meters distant a huge gasous "cloud." All sensors show it to be a treasure trove of Essence. It is directly between you and your destination.

As you get closer it seems to reach out towards your ship. Although it beckons, you feel somewhat at ill-ease. It shifts and flows almost like a river of mercury, yet it has a more life-like quality to it. It is a strange phenomon to encounter, and you know that to arrive at your destination point you must travel through this mystical "barrier" of sorts.
